Aaina — Held in Reflection
Material: Cotton fabric, mirror work, embroidery thread, metal zipper
There are objects you carry, and then there are those you return to. Aaina sits somewhere in between. Built around a central mirror and surrounded by hand-embroidered detail, it holds more than just essentials — it holds small moments of pause. The circular pattern draws the eye inward, while the surrounding colors create a rhythm that feels both vibrant and personal. Compact in size but rich in detail, it moves easily with you — slipping into your day without effort, yet never going unnoticed. Each piece carries slight variations in stitch, color, and placement, shaped by hand rather than repetition. What you hold isn’t exact — it’s individual.
We source only a few of each piece, so no two people carry the same story. When it's gone, it's gone.

"In Rajasthan, mirror work has long been used not just for decoration, but as a way to bring light into everyday objects. This piece is built slowly, beginning with a base fabric onto which each mirror is placed and secured by hand using traditional embroidery techniques. The surrounding patterns are stitched one section at a time, forming a circular composition that frames the reflective center. Unlike uniform production, the process allows for slight shifts in alignment, color balance, and spacing — each one shaped by the maker’s hand and rhythm. These variations are not corrected, but kept, allowing every piece to carry its own quiet distinction."
